Dark Chocolate – Good for Health

Though it may sound unusual but this is cent percent true!!! Dark Chocolates are Good for our health. When consumed in less quantity these yummy chocolates have strong health benefits .

1. It can help prevent heart disease These contain flavonoids, which  act as an antioxidant. Flavonoids are supposed to  protect cells from harmful molecules(free radicals). Free radicals have been reported to cause cell damage that may  lead to heart disease. Flavonoids are  also said to lower blood pressure and reduce LDL cholesterol .

2. It can improve your mood :  They stimulates the production of endorphins a chemical present in the  brain that when stimulated brings a pleasant feel. It also contains the chemical serotonin, which has the ability to act as an anti-depressant.

3. It can protect your skin : Flavonoids in dark chocolate are believed to absorb UV light in turn helping to  protect and increase blood flow to the skin leading to  improvement in  skin’s hydration and complexion.

But dark chocolates contain a lot of calories as well and thus  experts suggested not more than 3 ounces intake a day.
