Potato Roll


  • Ingredients:
    • For stuffing:
      • Crumbled Paneer: 4 Table Spoon.
      • Grated Coconut : 3 Table Spoon.
      • Cashew Nut: 2 Table Spoon.
      • Sweet Corn: 1/4 cup.
      • Finely chopped Onion: 1 unit.
      • Ginger paste:1 Table Spoon
      • Garlic paste: 1 Table Spoon
      • Green chilli paste: 1 Table Spoon
      • Finely chopped Coriander: 1 Table Spoon.
      • Oil: 2 Table Spoon.
      • Red chilli powder: 1 tea spoon.
      • Salt.
    • For covering:
      • Boiled and mashed potatoes: 3 units.
      • Finely chopped spinach: 1/4 cup.
      • Corn Flour: 1/4 cup.
      • Garlic, Ginger and green chilli paste: 1 Table Spoon.
      • Salt.
      • Refined flour: 2 Table Spoon.
  • Procedure:
    • Stuffing:
      • In a pan with hot oil , add onions and cook them till they attain pinkish color.
      • Mix all the stuffing ingredients together and cook for 5 minutes.
      • Let it cool for a while.
    •  Covering:
      • In a bowl, except refined flour(maida), add all the ingredients(for covering) and make a dough* out of it.
      • Roll a larger radius roti/chapati.
      • Spread the stuffing on the roti.
      • Fold it  to make a roll.
      • Cut 1 inch thick pieces out of this roll.

  •  In the maida(refined flour) add some water so it becomes semi-liquid.
  • Dip the pieces one by one into this semi-liquid.
  • Apply crumbs of bread on both the sides and then deep fry it.
  • The potato roll is ready to eat. Serve it with your favorite sauce/ chutney.

*NOTE: If the dough prepared covering is loose, then add some more cornflour to it.
